-More time for weapon check
I had time allotted for this, but obviously we need more now that there is more than 3 people with their own gear. I also think I will need to pre-organise this more as it was all off the top of my head. Mostly someone pre-asigned to responsibilitys of checking protocolar categories, maybe someone in charge of sign-in who can explain how it works to people as they arrive.
-More variety in battle types, some goal based scenarios
As Mog said, we had one big one planed but the underbrush killed it, so I will probably try is again wherever we are at next year, but we defiantly need a back up plan for it so we still have a big scenario battle even if circumstances don't workout for the ideal game.
-We had enough food, and people liked it
But we will need more next time if we grow at all. I had 50+ sandwiches, a watermelon a small bag of carrots and a giant bag of chips (for personal reference). There was a small amount of sandwiches and chips left everything else was gone. I think I will also announce in the event info that there will be a chip in what you can to cover the food cost bucket, or you can bring food to share instead.
-I think next year I may not fight and just Marshall the hole time. We are getting enough people with varying amounts of familiarity to the system and varying personalities that I think next year it would be a good idea. I might need to start pulling people to help me at important points as well.
-I also I think next year I want to spend more time on the welcome address & noob orientation. I had planned more to say but he wind killed it in a lot of ways, I couldn't read my notes and no one could hear me. I think I need to plan out he noob orientation more thoroughly, who is in it and make sure all the points get covered clearly and quickly. The opening address I want to cover what house rules are being played on the field as well as good edict and practices (I had something like that planned first year but it wasn't needed.
-The event was not to long or to short I don't thing (anyone else have feel for this?)
People came up to 30-40 min late and some were leaving up to 30min before finish (for reference next year when choosing time and length).
