We have one female member as well, and another one turned up at yesterdays practice. Ill admit, she was calling her own shots a bit in, and I kept explaining what did and did not count. I kinda got mad and stopped pulling my shots on her, kinda feel like a jerk now but after-wards she came up and asked for advice. I explained what she was doing wrong, what I was doing on the field and such and now Im sure we have another definite female in our realm. Let girls play is my vote, there is female soccer and other sports (females are nasty in women league btw) and they hold their own there, why not let them on our field?

I hope I'm not intruding too much but why is this even a topic for discussion? Women have just as much a right to fight as men do. That you would be discussing whether women should be "allowed" comes off as chauvinistic and misogynistic to me especially in the 21st century. If a person has a problem with hitting women within the context of Belegarth, that's their problem, not the woman's, and women should not be punished, i.e., not being allowed to fight, because of that problem.
While I was growing up, I absolutely believed that it was wrong to hit a woman. But when I was introduced to foam fighting, I came to the realization that they're fighters and I had to overcome my own reluctance of hitting them. Admittedly, I've been in realms and events where there are female fighters in attendance regularly so that is biasing my opinion. For example, while not all of the females were fighters or fought on a regular basis, Wolfpack had almost a one-to-one ratio of men to women.
Today, I'm constantly striving to be a chivalric knight and one aspect of that is that I try to treat everyone, regardless of gender or skill, with respect and honor. A fighter is a fighter is a fighter.
