As discussed in a few other threads it seems we might get a better turnout by holding practices on Sundays from 2pm-4pm instead of Thursdays.
We will be trying this out over the next few weeks. Please try to make it to every practice you can. We need a core group of people showing off how fun Belegarth is in order to grow. Once we have a large enough group it won't matter as much if you miss a practice but for now we need people to show up every time in order to showcase our sport.

Very well, we got 3 drop ins who participated and another who played a single round. I think we convinced them to come back next week too!

We did go late though... like to 5:30 I think... Randvar had major transit problems getting to the practice and showed up after it was supposed to be over.

We also drew blood... from almost everyone... all minor but g-fish, me, dave, and one of the drop-ins all had hand injures by the time practice was over... though I got mine the night before when making belts with a knife.

I had about four finger cuts and I got hit in the face. My nose is alright now though. My sword is too light to block so I was punch blocking. I don't know why the hand and wrist are invincible, it's one of the best targets.

ya, it doesn't make sense to me ether that hands are invincible, but that's the rules.

It is almost imposable to create a properly functional cross guard/hand guard on a sword. Ours provide some protection, but are mostly aesthetic.

Myself and Thomas will be out of town this Sunday (Oct. 4th) and thus unable to attend practice.
