Well, not necessarily. I have not yet asked anyone in Red Dear about it, but since there are people in Red Dear who are interested in Belegarth now (I know of 4 now) I figured a board for Red dear was appropriate.
Namely, It will help with recruitment I hope. People come ot he site looking for a group near them, and if they find none, they may move on without even saying "hi, the their a realm in Red Dear?"

A realm in Red Deer is actually quite a good thing, especially if we can get the Dagorhir group in Edmonton going good again. Red Deer would such a convenient place to hold an event that included the: Red Deer group,The Airdrie group, and the Edmonton group.

That's what I was thinking too. Red Deer makes a good halfway point for the majority of Alberta's population. Working on a possible name is on my agenda.

Welcome to the forum Maxer! How did you find us? Niall is defiantly the one to talk to about Red Deer stuff  Oh, and Niall, I know you have chosen a name, but I got to say I really like Norregar and Mindräd. Whear did you get the names? Just made them up or was there some inspiration? |

Norregar was mine. I just hacked away at "Northern Guard" and wound up with that. For Mindräd, I just piled a few drinks into my roommate and listened to him slur.
Maybe not the most ethical of methods, but my system works!
Also, Maxer, you're more than welcome to join us. We're still in the works of weapon-making and the like, but we have some prototypes that we've bashed eachother about with, and they'll hold together while we make improvements on newer models.
We'll be getting together at about 6 PM on Sunday this week in the field/drainage basin behind Lord Cres., at the east end of 32nd Street. And I promise, I'm working at finding a simpler way of not getting people lost trying to find it.
Just come on by, I'll have everything you need to get started. Familiarity with Belegarth's rules is a plus, but I'll quickly go over them with you just to be sure.

If you see me posting at 5:30, it's not because I'm awake early. I'm up -that- late. I work night shifts, 1-9:30, so I get a chance to sleep in. The late hours also explain where our name ideas come from.
Vessnod was, literally, "west-north".

We're actually doing fairly well. I've been working with a core of 6 people, with a few drifting in and out when they can make it.
Skill levels are improving a little every week. We're working on garb (slowly without a sewing machine), and have a steadily growing arsenal. A couple engineering issues have come up with our swords, but my mind is working steadily on improvements.
Basically, things are going great.
