Whew.. long weekend of sewing and weapon construction has brought me to a simple conclusion... We need a sewing machine.
Hand stitching weapon covers takes SO long.
Anyone have an extra one, or know somebody we could buy one off for cheap?

For a temporary solution (until you get a machine), use tube socks or 2 layers of pantyhose. A sewing machine is truly a wonder full thing. Good luck in your search!

We'll definitely need one in order to be properly garbed, though. I'll take all the luck I can get, thanks.

pillow case + safety pins MIGHT work, never tried it though, the handle could cause issues though.

Dont use safety pins, to dangerous. Just tape the fabric to the shield back with duct tape.
