So, like this? I was also thinking of this more basic logo for tabards and flags and things: Ok, what should the colour scheme be? Eien's colors are good, blue, yellow and weight. My original colours are... Edmonton-esk and my last colours are to drab I think. Something different than the red that is so predominant in most of the logos ATM would be good I think. This is an interesting colour site: kuler.adobe.com/#themes/rating?time=30

more basic means straight lines or perfect circles. Wavy lines are harder to make out of cloth. You need to use silkscreening rather than cutting up fabric in the right shape and sewing it on. That's less period.
I'd go for Eien's hill design for the more advanced logo if we are using it, not the basic one.

well arn't blue white and yellow also calligarry colors? as im looking and I guess we could use but they would have to be diff. shades of the colour, because im sure Arderyth wants to differ from calligarry. (reminds me how when camping people asking where you from, I would say calgary just so they knew the place I was talking about). Colours are alway tricky though...

Mog: Fabric is far from the ideal way to make logos, it is a lot of work (as I am sure you know), so the simple design would be panted on, very quick and easy. Painting was period, especially when you get to mass production. The advanced logo will likely be more for web work.
Eien: Calgary is primarily blue, in your logo colors blue was a small factor.

I think you should stick with the one Cib made at the top of the page it brings out the hillyness of nose creek.

lol, the hill being yellow is probably more accurate than green 90% of the year.
Welcome to the forum James!
