So I found an incredible foam sword company: www.calimacil.com/ From what I have read these guys make amazing quality weapons. www.calimacil.com/technique.htm It would be a bonus if they were Belegarth legal but I want something that looks more sword-like and is safe to carry around for my costumes regardless. Usually LARP weapons wouldn't pass but if I do get one we'll see. The swords are expensive but you get what you pay for, these things will last a long time. They have a sword that is $60 less than their standard which is the one I'm looking at: www.calimacil.com/ecuyer.htmI have looked into latex weapons and the like on the National forum and I hope they make it into Belegarth because the weapons look so much better. If not then I'll see you in Amtgard I have actually been looking into Amtgard lately, it sounds pretty cool.

Larp Latex weapons look cool but don't take to heavy combat to well. They wreck quickly and are to dangerous for hard hitting. You can however use Latex and plasti-dip on the flats and on pommels, grips, cross guards, and flats of our swords (everything but the striking edge). I have seen some picts of some pretty sweet weapons like that. There are lots of groups that are both Amtgard Parks and Belegarth Realms simultaneously. So that is an option to. G-Fish is the guy to talk to about Amtgard.
Have you been to a Denver Bel or Dag practice yet?

those are neat swords zocana but the only thing is that they are too hard, and i think they are just too heavy. Those are something you would play around with at home maybe but i wouldnt bet on hitting someone with one of those.

Can I find some pictures online anywhere. Cib, no I haven't been able to check out any practices here in Denver. It sounds like there isn't much of a Denver group but there is a larger group 45 minutes away, except they had their last practice of the season a few weeks ago. I found out there is an Amt group 5 minutes away, maybe I'll check them out.

From the sounds of it most of the Denver crew cross game. At least the Dag/Bel fighters do, I would expect at least a few of them show up to ditch with the the Amt park. The other realm you mention is Mordor in Loveland? From their site: [/i]"Local Amtgard/Belegarth relations are going very well as of late. The average ages of our fighters are between 18-23." ~ geddon.org/index.php/Mordor
Have you see their forum? colodagorhir.proboards.com/index.cgi?

Yes I was referring to the Loveland group. I talked to the leader on their forum. She is the one who informed me they were having their last practice.
