Loosely inspired by the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. It's like the place where creatures have been turned to stone by the Witch. Probably best with 6 or more players. There are guards, statues and a hero. The statues are players frozen in place and scattered around the field. They are unfrozen when the Hero recites the phrase "arise warrior" while touching them(if it's too cheesy we can do something else). It's guards versus the Hero and as many of the statues as he can unfreeze. You are vulnerable to attack the second you are unfrozen. Two guards sounds about right. Guards and Hero start on opposite sides of the field with statues in between. Statues act as obstacles while frozen. The game is over when either the Hero + unfrozen players kills the guards or the guards kill the Hero + unfrozen players. Any equipment goes but guards should be well armed which might mean getting first choice of weapons and shields. Please critique.

We tried this today, had 8 players and had to have 3 guards.

Wow that was quick. I was wondering if only the hero should be allowed to unfreeze people. Is that the way you played it? How did it go?

yes. only hero can unfreeze, worked well.
We used "1, 2, 3 alive" just like in all the other games rather than "arise warrior" That's our standard phrase and I think it's less cheesy.

Worked good for the fist round but then the guard figured out if ya got rid of the hero before he unfreezes people then you can win easly. But if the hero grabed a few then the guards had to fight more

Even when the Hero won it was crazy hard work, I don't know what it was like for the guards though. I think the more statues there are the essayer it will be for the hero.
