It's time to start teaching people how to fight better. 15-30 minutes of practice should be actual practice. Start with the basics: footwork(lunging, slide stepping), shield work, range(defeating a pole arm etc.). If the basics are learned and then practiced every week improvement is guaranteed. You'll notice a big difference after a few months.

i don't know about you guys but time stop drill is actually helping me see and notice openings in certain types of attacks so that is one way you could practice.

well yeah like Gothmog said the time stop drill is good but fighting is not all about skill, you have to have the strength and endurance to fight. i love working on stamina by running a big distance like over 1km without stopping. but still fighting you do need to have skills, lots of people acquire skills like these just in their garage twirling a stick around (we've all done that a one point or another) but good skills to have is to defiantly know how to get around a shield and pol arm.

Yes, a player who is 16 has a huge advantage over a player who is only 14 but I see a lot of players making the same mistakes over and over. They think that bigger/longer weapons are better only because they themselves can't beat a spear or red sword. Yet when they pick up a spear I trample them easily. I would just like to see some of the younger players improve their basic skills. Knowing how to defeat spear being the priority.
