I was inspired by a guy in the Dag boards, named Lizerd King, armor. It was a leather brig mantel. It reminded me of Egyptian mantel armor. It got me thinking, and I liked it. It was good shoulder and upper torso protection, could have good mobility and would be made cheeper, possibly with scraps. The more I thought of it, the more I liked it. Anyway, I got carried away. And ended up designing an armor concept, that I may try some day in the future when I get the money for leather. I think the "plates" of leather on the mantel would be thinner (width not thick) to give better movement, and maybe sectioned in to 3 from neck hole to edge rather than 2. What do you think of it? Is it good? Bad?

Very Egyptian, I like it. The construction simplicity is nice but it can still be made to look sweet with tool work and stains. Is there a set of buckles somewhere or is the mantle just lose enough to slip on? Also, what did you design this with?

Thank-you Sr.
Buckles... Well, the part of the rig that is not that mantel, would need at least 2 buckles of some kind, for the overall straps, and maybe on the sides to, but that could be laced up if desired.
As for the mantel itself, I don't think it would need any buckles. I have never warn one, so I don't know if you need to attach it to the other peace or not. Might have to have something like lacing for the head hole, depending how tight one wanted it I suppose...
I made it up in Blender, which was way, way harder than it should have been.

Has anybody got any good ideas for a helmet? I seem to get good ideas for every thing else but helmets.
