This is a re-name of Draggoas' game from Tournaments of Strathclyde. He called it "The Courtyard" but we already have "Witch's Courtyard" and I'd like to avoid confusion.
This game requires a LOT of rocks. Set them up in about 5 groups of 5, (or more in either count.)
The objective of the game is to get the rocks back to the score sheet.
You may only carry 1 rock at a time back to the score sheet, (pretend they are gold bars, those suckers are HEAVY.)
Around the score sheet is a 10' safe zone where people can wait to mark off their loot on the score sheet.
You may either grab the gold bars from the original circles they were put in or kill other players, (outside the safe zone) to get theirs.
The team with the most turn ins when the "gold" is all gone wins.

The game was over pretty quick when we tried it initially.
Some things that I think would help: -bigger teams than pairs. With more people on a team you can devote some to defense rather than madly running an hoping no one hits you.
-bigger field. We had about 50' of field and 15' of it taken up with the safe zone. People weren't in the combat zone long enough to fight.
-slight simplification of the rock carrying rule. I put this in the description, (my version has only 1 rock at a time rather than 1 rock from a circle per turn in or per death.) This allows for more strategy as you can hand off loot without having to run back to the safe zone to pick up a new one anyway.
-I'm not sure on the res-point. We played with an instant res point in the safe zone, but I'm thinking this game might work better if death mattered.
Anyone else have thoughts on this game?

Also thinking back on it; this game seems to be a larger version of king of thieves.
