This isn't so much a game as it is practice to make us better. I think it would be useful to do 5 minutes or so of drills like this guy sets up each week. Don't spend long on them as they aren't as fun as the games, but they should make us better fighters and that will make the games more interesting: www.belegarth.com/media.php?link=instructional
There are 2 types of drills he goes over:
Block/strike He goes over this 9 minutes into the first video. In block/strike you and your partner alternate attacking so you know that as soon as you attack, you need to defend. Also you have designated hit zones so your not worrying about where the attack is going.
The idea here is to practice attacking and defending at a high speed yet still be able to concentrate on the motion of the attack/block rather than the strategy. In most duals you're concentrating on where to attack rather than the motion of the attack itself.
Discussion dual I don't think he calls it this but it's basically the entire second video. The idea here is it works like a normal dual except you stop after every shot and discuss with your partner what move would make sense to do next.
This is a VERY slow fight. The idea is not to beat your opponent. It's to know what move would make sense in each situation. Normally when your fighting there isn't any time to think. This drill teaches you how to think strategically. It also lets you plan so when you get into a real fight you have already thought about what move would make sense from your current position and can do it.
