Ya, he got it and fell on hard times so has to sell it. But he still has a full suit of European armor for himself though.
Just realized it is almost as cheep as Mog's Gloves/Gantlets/Bracer things! lol

That is Pretty sweet. To bad I am not going for the Samurai feel. Although $500 is a good deal it is still a bit to high for my liking.

Ya, way more than I can pay, + USD to CAD + shipping... But Samurai armor usually costs closer to 1k starting price from what I have found. And then it is hard to find stuff that is not plastic and still combat worthy. It is a steel of a deal I can't afford

I've been looking into getting armor from here: skaldic.com/ I prefer the look of the skaldic armor and it will be custom built to fit me... but it's about twice the price. I really overpaid for the gauntlets because I was trying to get a clothing leatherworker to make armor, (something he wasn't used to) so the hourly charge was high. It would have been cheaper to get a US merchant who knows what they are doing to ship it than try to get a Calgary merchant who has no clue muddle about. I wish we wern't so isolated up here...

Phone up Tandys and see if they have any armoring leather workers who you can use. I am very confident they would know some one.
Also, as far as armor goes, we have a lot of steel armorers up here in Alberta. Apparently, one of the top armors in the world lives in Calgary.
There is SCA up here, some of their trades would cross over, they don't use a lot of leather, but some of them do use it or armor. I know of one guy in BC that has a full suit of SCA legal leather armor.

I have to say that I am being cheap about my Armour(making it myself). I got the wire for making my chain-mail vest here: www.theringlord.com. It is worth checking out. It is not necessary to get Armour and break the bank along with it. It will take a bit of time though.

Note: the scales on The Ring Lord are no go. They would become a fleck eating cheese greater if you rubbed someone the wrong way.

I asked at Tandy. That's where I got the reference for Definitely Different, (the guy I used.)
I suppose I should check into metal armor. I've been concentrating on leather and I got the skaldic link from a guy in the Calgary SCA. It's also the cheapest I've found for buying new. Not sure about buying used as most people aren't my size. (It's amazing how many 300 pound 4' people swordfight...)

I guess the biggest reason I've been avoiding metal armor is helms, elbows and knees aren't allowed to be metal in Belegarth... they work for SCA.

Hey Mog, you should check out this website: www.armstreet.com. Their price might be a bit much for you but their Mongolian Armour is pretty sweet.
